Why did you become a seminarian?  I felt called to the priesthood when I was maybe six years old. In high school, I realized I had to take this idea of priesthood seriously when everybody started asking “What are you going to do?” Overall, I have always loved Jesus Christ and His Bride the Church and I entered seminary to “date” the Church to see if She is the one for me and if I am worthy of Her to serve Her as a priest.

Before you entered seminary, what were you doing?  I entered seminary right out of high school so before seminary, I was finishing my senior year of high school (homeschooled all the way!) and working at the Mustard Seed Catholic Book store in Iowa City.

An interesting fact about you:  I absolutely love games of any kind. At family gatherings, such as Christmas or Thanksgiving, my family would play cards all afternoon. In seminary, a group of us would play Settlers of Catan almost every night for hours. My particular favorite games are strategy games and I am very competitive. Watch out!
